
Ed Williams (aka Mista Ed) is a competition winning Turntablist / DJ, music producer and event promoter. His high standing in the eyes of the Turntablist world was confirmed in 2003 when one of his scratch tracks was picked up by legendary American label: Bomb Hip Hop USA.
'SRB', a vinyl release on Waxfactor's - Game Face EP (Needle-Work records - London), and more recently 'Unfinished Business' featuring on the Cuts of Culture Compilation (Eclectic Breaks) has had airplay on many national stations including XFM and Radio 1. Since this, he has been involved with major record labels around the world and currently has further music awaiting release. Ed has spent many years networking, meeting and working alongside some of the biggest names in hip hop, and has collaborated with countless artists from around the world, including recent work with a veteran Los Angeles producer who produced music for numerous US rap stars, including the late 2pac Shakur.

Ed, as a founder of Waxworks Music Initiative, has worked with hundreds of young people across the district. Ed has developed bespoke learning and accreditation packages for Waxworks and has managed many youth music programmes including BMDC (Community Cohesion Project 2005); BBC Children in Need; ERDF/ESF; Arts Council (2006/07); NRF – Cultural Consortium (2007); Connexions (2008) BMDC Youth Opportunities Fund (2008); Working Neighbourhoods Fund (2009/10); Home Office (09-12).
