Whoever said "it's grim up north" might be right when it comes to the weather. But when we consider the breakthrough talent this end of the country most kindly provides – the north definitely looks bright and shiny. Hailing from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Gaz, aka Kitcha, found himself engaged in the northern dance music scene from an early age, utilising his best available resources to promote himself as a DJ on a local level, where he used to play out at large events with his brother as the Kitcher Brothers.

Kitcha, although still only young, has already achieved more in his music career than others could only dream about. Practicing his art since the age of 8 years old, his skills on the decks are really and truly unrivalled – his abilities to rock large crowds with poise and confidence are mirrored by his ingenious use of turntable tricks and techniques. On the club circuit, Kitcha has played alongside the biggest names in drum and bass, and with his natural cross-over appeal, even supported Fat Boy Slim back in 2002 on his UK ‘Palookaville!’ tour. Gaz is Waxworks' "not-so-secret weapon" and can be found creating beats and productions of all different genres for the lucky folk who use the studio. Gaz also runs Audio Warfare record label, with production partner Steppa.
